PSA: Plan B is book three in the Lost & Found series by C.L. Stacey. Can be read as a stand-alone but I recommend reading the previous two books, Left Behind and Say Love. That way you’ll understand every single thing since characters from the previous books make important appearances. You can read my review of Say Love (book two) HERE.

Plan B is a story about two people who’ve been through hell and back. Aryn and Bethany know what loss feels like. Aryn lost his beloved wife while she was giving birth to their baby daughter. Four years later, Aryn has learned to accept it. And even though it still hurts to not have her wife with him anymore, he’s decided to not let it hold him back from living his life to the fullest and finding love again. On the other hand, Bethany hasn’t accepted her loss. If you saw her on the street you would think she’s the happiest woman in the planet, that her life is all hearts and flowers. She’s learned how to hide her aching heart in front of everyone… or so she thought. Aryn is the only one able to see through her façade and maybe he’s the only one who can teach her how to finally accept her loss.

I’m a huge fan of Bethany’s character. She’s a boss ass bitch. She’s very hardworking, independent, funny, sweet, caring and a total bookworm. I also loved that she wasn’t falling at any guys’ feet, no matter how charming they were. Beth kept Aryn at arm’s length for a huge portion of the book because couldn’t bear losing him. She actually wanted him to stay in her life and not scare him away with all of her feelings. And that was something that made the story even more attractive to me. It was a nice twist to not have the classic girl-falls-at-any-charming-guys’-feet romance.

I’m so in love with Aryn. He’s the sweetest man and he’s so darn persistent. When he truly feels a connection he goes after what he wants and he doesn’t give a crap about anything. He refused to be friend zoned by Bethany and his determination had me swooning extra hard. And then add that he’s a darn good dad and his little daughter is the cutest thing ever. Y’all are going to melt.

You guys have to believe me when I say this book destroyed me and put me back together at the same time. Every single book in the Lost & Found series has a special place in my heart but this one is my favorite. The slow build up will have you all chewing your nails away and you’ll laugh and swoon with Aryn and Beth’s cute banter. From beginning to end Plan B is full of emotion and realness and I totally didn’t expect to cry at all but I did, goodness, I sobbed. And it was wonderful.
I hope all of you decide to give this book a try and let these wonderful characters into your lives.
