Review: Seek by Mia Sheridan

SEEK is coming TOMORROW (Jan 22nd)!! Read my thoughts!

Wealthy socialite Olivia Barton never imagined her fiancé would disappear on what was supposed to be a routine business trip. She’s even more heartbroken and confused when a hired private investigator tracks him half a world away, to a seaside town in Colombia. But the country has recently been ravaged by a massive earthquake and deadly tsunami, shutting down outside communication and making travel all but impossible. Still, Olivia is determined to make it to Colombia to find the answers she so desperately seeks. What she needs is a guide—a mercenary.

The man named Thomas arrives in shadows, an unmistakable air of danger about him, promising to help lead her through the ruined, crime-infested country. But when Thomas and Olivia find themselves fighting an undeniable attraction, danger takes on a whole new meaning. Then again, in the lush jungles of South America, all the rules are different and Thomas and Olivia are about to discover that sometimes the thing you seek, isn’t necessarily the thing you find.

Seek is a STANDALONE novel with a small, fun connection to the Sign of Love Collection.

I swear Mia Sheridan is in a-whole-nother level when it comes to romance books. Every single one of her books is filled with enough passion to melt you and enough emotion to break you—I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve cried while reading something by her. This book is no different. It is the classic passionate and emotional Mia we know and love PLUS some mystery and a bit of danger.

Olivia needs to go to Colombia to find her runaway fiancé. He left her out of the blue and in order to get the answers she desperately needs she has to travel to a country she has never been before, that is known for its crime, where they speak a language she doesn’t understand, and that’s been devastated by an earthquake. She’s taking all of those risks knowing he might not want her anymore, some might say she’s foolish but she’s actually very courageous.
Thomas is the only man who can take her to the little town in Colombia where she’ll find her fiancé. He speaks Spanish, knows the country like the palm of his hand, he looks like a soldier and he may or may not be a tiny bit dangerous.
Their entire adventure takes a week. A lot of things can happen in that short amount of time. Falling in love, nearly getting killed or vice versa and discovering that some people are so very good at pretending and/or lying.

Holy smokes with Thomas and Olivia’s connection. I feel like I need to take a break and fan myself a little bit just thinking about them. They are amazing together. Complete opposites yet so in sync. Even though their relationship moved on fairly quickly, it never felt rushed or wrong. Everything about their relationship felt natural, full of passion and very natural. I don’t see how anyone could not love them!

Y’all need to read this book. It is short enough to read in one sitting and romantic enough to not even want to put it down. If you are a lover of love then Mia Sheridan is a must read!!
