Last month the amazing Simply Earth team sent me their super cute Essential Oil Recipe Box (for January) + a Big Bonus Box filled with a ton of wonderful stuff so I could try it out and share my experience with y’all!
I’m not going to lie, I should have posted this a while back but I was in vacation mode, then I wasn’t and I just… have no excuses but my post is finally here and I’m so excited because 1. It’s not a book post which is a once in a lifetime thing here and 2. Simply Earth is the best company ever and I’m so happy to be working with them.
FIRST you have to know what Simply Earth is.
In a nutshell, it is an online store where you can find inexpensive essential oils, blends, diffusers, some other accessories so you can make your own natural blends and you can even purchase some jewelry!
They are most known for their essential oil Recipe Box (monthly subscription box) which includes 4 full size essential oils (100% pure) plus little extras so you can make the recipes they send along.
They’re all about natural quality products that you can use to make your beauty/skin care/self-care more natural.
Simply Earth’s Cause
What I really love about this brand is that they’re working for a cause. 13% of their profits go towards helping end human trafficking which is a huge issue that needs to be talked about more. You can read a whole lot more about their cause here.
Now we can talk about January’s Essential Oil Recipe Box!
The January box (AKA little brown box in the pictures) comes with 4 essential oils (Bergamot, Myrrh, Ravensara and “Farewell Scars” essential oil blend), 5 recipes and pretty much all the fun stuff you need to make them (tapioca pearls, soap mold and lip balm containers). It’s $39/month for a $150 value box which I think is a pretty amazing deal.
And what about the recipes?
First I need to be honest… y’all already know I slacked badly during December but now that I’m back in school I’ve only had the chance to try out one recipe but I’m making all of them this week and posting insta stories so go check those out if you’re interested (@thebookishsisters)!
The recipe I tried was the “Relaxing Textured Massage Bar“ with Myrrh and Ravensara oils, tapioca pearls and a lot of natural ingredients that are good for your skin such as coconut oil. The entire process was incredibly easy and in just a couple of minutes I had my beautiful massage bar ready to go.
Before I even had a chance to use it, my dad massaged my mom with the bar since she has a bad back and guess what?! She loved it! The tapioca pearls helped soothe her muscles and she says it feels fantastic.
The only “downside” for me is that I’m not a huge fan of the smell of the finished product, it’s a little too strong and medicine-y for me, but my sister liked it so much she couldn’t stop smelling it. She also finds it very relaxing so there you go! Not really a downside for some.
About the Big Bonus Box!
The big blue box in most of our pictures is the Big Bonus Box the Simply Earth team sent along with the Essential Oil Recipe Box.
They usually send this $40 bonus box for free when you start your subscription.
My box contained beeswax, almond oil, coconut oil and a bunch of jars so I could make all the recipes and more! It’s the coolest thing!
How you can get your hands on all of this goodness!
If any of y’all want anything from Simply Earth you can use this link* to purchase whatever your heart desires.
