A few days ago the amazing Ashleigh @ Ashleigh Reads nominated us for The Liebster Award. We want to send her a massive thank you!
You should check out her blog if you haven’t already because she has a lovely blog.
What is the Liebster Award?
“Liebster” is a German word meaning beloved, dearest, sweetheart, or darling.
For bloggers, the Liebster Award is an online recognition given by other bloggers to new bloggers for enjoying or appreciating their work. It highlights up and coming blogs.
Once nominated, a blogger is asked to answer 11 questions provided by the nominating blogger. They are then expected to nominate 11 other favourite new bloggers and come up with a list of 11 new questions for those nominees.
1. Acknowledge the blog who nominated you and display the award.
2. Answer the 11 questions the blogger gives you.
3. Nominate 11 blogs.
4. Notify those blogs of the nomination.
5. Give them 11 questions to answer.
1. WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE GENRE?
Diana & Claudia: Contemporary Romance books are the peanut butter to our jelly.
2. TELL US THREE THINGS ABOUT YOURSELF?
Diana: I’m the best procrastinator in the world, I hate it. I love being outside but loathe insects, WHY can’t I just get along with them?! And I collect keychains, from all around the world and just plain cute ones.
Claudia: I’m 5’4 and overall average, unimpressive grades, mediocre artwork. I’m a hopeless romantic, I’ve been told that a lot and even though I’ve been said it’s kind of a bad thing, I’ll never think so. I’m a Pisces, which might explain my personality a little.
3. WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE SEASON?
Diana: Fall because it starts on my birthday. Also because I love the feeling of leaves beneath my feet and getting to wear fall outfits.
Claudia: Spring. Because it’s not extremely hot throughout the day and some mornings are a little cold and breezy, we live in extreme weather which means it’s way too cold in the winter and over 100 degrees in the summer, so I find early spring nice as an in-between.
4. DOES BLOGGING EVER STRESS YOU OUT?
Diana: Yes. But never the writing part. The designing and figuring out coding and whatnot is what freaks me the heck out.
Claudia: Not really because, let’s be honest, I blog every now and never.
5. WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE BOOK?
Diana: At the moment, The Hating Game by Sally Thorne. My favorite book ever is Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Saenz, my heart beats out of my chest just thinking about it.
Claudia: Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe is a book that will always and forever be on my favorites, it’s just amazing.
6. DO YOU HAVE ANY HOBBIES?
Diana: I love drawing/painting/lettering/creating art. I like collecting patches, keychains and postage stamps. I also enjoy watching art videos on Instagram and watching The Gabbie Show on YouTube.
Claudia: I like writing, I tend to have a ton of thoughts stuck on my head most of the time so writing helps me soothe my mind. I also like filming, it’s like seeing the world through a new window. And drawing/painting, I’m not really good at it, but I find it’s good for my soul. Also, The Office is my love.
7. WHAT DO YOU LIKE WRITING THE MOST ON YOUR BLOG? E.G. REVIEWS, MEMES, TAGS.
Diana: Reviews. I love seeing my thoughts written down and I love that I can keep track of the books that I enjoyed and didn’t enjoy.
Claudia: Reviews because I like romanticizing my thoughts a lot and I feel like reviews let me do that freely.
8. IF YOU COULD PICK ONE BOOK TO READ THAT YOU HAVEN’T ALREADY READ WHAT WOULD IT BE?
Diana: One True Loves by Taylor Jenkins Reid or God-Shaped Hole by Tiffanie DeBartolo.
Claudia: The Rest of Us Just Live Here by Patrick Ness or PS. I Still Love You by Jenny Han or Always and Forever, Lara Jean by Jenny Han.
9. WHO IS YOUR FAVOURITE AUTHOR?
Diana: Colleen freaking Hoover is and will forever be my QUEEN, she’s crazy talented. Runner-up is the lovely Nicola Yoon, she writes amazing YA stories and her words make my heart swoon.
Claudia: Jennifer Niven, there’s something about her writing style that I find amusing, plus her stories are just amazing.
10. DO YOU EVER THINK YOU COULD WRITE YOUR OWN BOOK ?
Diana: I think so? It is my absolute dream to write a book but I don’t know if I’m creative and/or committed enough. I’m the kind of person who has millions of ideas but takes forever to actually start making them come true. My procrastinator ass needs to leave for me to write a book.
Claudia: Maybe one day I could, I’ve started two books and then left them because they didn’t feel right, so maybe if I’m committed enough to an idea I think I’ll be able to write one someday.
11. DO YOU HAVE A FAVOURITE PLACE YOU LIKE TO READ?
Diana: I really enjoy reading in my bed but actually any place where I can read is my favorite.
Claudia: I don’t think I do, although outside is where I feel in my element the most, I really enjoy reading anywhere.
