Review: One Fear by Belle Brooks (The Game of Life #1)

“My one fear is now my reality.”

He didn’t offer his name when he fulfilled his need to include me as a player in his game.
I’m number thirteen. Just a number given to the bitches who wronged him.
I was blindsided. Stolen from my life. In his devilled eyes, I have a debt to pay…he wants my final breath to see us even.

“I know who you are Morgan Banks, the question is, who am I? Five games will set you free when you can tell me who I’d be.”- The Wolf.

Am I strong enough to take on the Wolf?

Holy cow. What the heck have I gotten myself into. I’m regretting not waiting until the series was complete to start reading it. I’m the worst at waiting and now I need to wait who knows how long until the second books comes out and pulls me out of misery.

One Fear is the story of… I don’t even know. I don’t even know where to begin because even though I read the entire thing it still feels like I know NOTHING about it.

Let’s just say this is the story of Morgan and her husband, Reid.
Morgan’s been kidnapped by “the Wolf”—apparently we have to wait for another book(s) to discover his identity—because she’s done something wrong and he hates her guts. He wants her to play in this twisted game—that I still don’t understand—and he hints it will probably end on her dying.
Unless, she’s more intelligent than him.
Or perhaps Reid will save her from the Wolf’s paws.
Perhaps none of that will happen and I’m so completely wrong and Belle is just playing with us and the Wolf turns out to be good. Who the heck knows anymore!! We’ll just have to wait and see what happens.

From the first word in the Prologue, this book is impossible to put down. You’ll be so up this book’s arse you won’t want to stop reading even for a second. It is so dark for a moment I thought I was going to hate it but quite the contrary, I’ve never liked a romantic suspense this much—I’m still waiting on the romance thought, there’s definitely a whole lot of suspense.

I say all of you should give this book and author a chance and grab yourself a copy of this book. You’ll be blown away.
